Getting around Paris

If you are on a budget, or if you simply prefer to enjoy the culture and vivacity of Paris directly, you should consider experiencing the city on foot.To ensure that you do not get lost, you should make use of the Google Maps app on your phone or tablet.

Cycling is also another great and inexpensive way to experience France. The Grey Velib bikes are easily accessible and available widely. They can be rented and returned at many of the various stations around the city.  Always remember to adhere to the rules of the road, because Paris can get chaotic and aggressive depending on which area you are visiting.

By Metro

This is by far the most convenient way to experience Paris because it allows you to get from one point to another quickly and easily.  Metro tickets are available from machines located in every station.

By taxi or Uber

Although taxi stands can be seen all over the city, it is a lot harder to hail one than it is in the movies. As such, you might need to book your taxi in advance to avoid the wait.  Alternatively, you can use an Uber,
