What to Do in Cozumel, Costa Maya, Grand Cayman, and Belize
If you’re looking for an exotic tropical retreat, the Caribbean is the best place to go. For travelers who want to see both the islands and South America, a cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Grand Cayman, and Belize is ideal. Here are some things to do for cruisers vacationing in these destinations.
This Mexican paradise is full of incredible things to see and do! For a bit of history, check out San Gervasio, a historical Mayan archaeological site. For more modern day fun, Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park is pretty incredible. Here, you can go shopping, swim, or hang out with the dolphins. Finally, don’t forget to relax on Palancar Beach.
Costa Maya is as incredible as Cozumel! The coolest place to play in Costa Maya is Lost Mayan Kingdom, an incredible water park. You can also take a boating or snorkeling experience to see the wonders of nature on Mexico’s coast. Of course, beaches are always an option as well. Check out Maya Chan Beach.
The biggest attraction in Grand Cayman is Stingray Cay, where you can swim with massive rays. Only slightly less awesome is the Cayman Turtle Farm, where turtles are raised. You can swim with them and learn about their life cycles. Don’t forget to explore Pedro St. James Castle, the oldest building in the Cayman Islands!
Belize may be a tiny country, but you certainly can’t see it all in a day or two. When your cruise ship takes a stop in Belize, you’ll have to narrow down which excursions are best for you. One of the best cultural experiences is a trip to the Belize Lamanai Mayan Ruins, which are the most expansive ruins in Belize. You can also raft down a river, or take a trip to the rum factory.
