Kuala Lumpur is the bustling multi-cultural capital of Malaysia. Many businessmen from the greater south Asia flock to Malaysia for business making Kuala Lumpur a fast paced city with plenty to offer besides business. As a culturally diverse city, there is much to experience in food, music and the arts. There are several natural attractions to see too.

Batu caves

This landmark also serves as a religious attraction. You can take the KRM Komuter train to the Northern suburb of Gomak and walk to the site. There is a giant statue of Lord Muruga to welcome you. Climb the 272 steps to the top and see more shrines as well as a 15-meter high statue of the Hindu god Hanuman.


Malaysia has a big community of Chinese people. Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown on Petaling Street is vibrant attracting many tourists and merchants alike.  The Chinese businessmen use the lower floors for business and the upper floors as living quarters. Enjoy a variety of Chinese delicacies and buy Chinese trinkets as souvenirs.


The twin towers are the icons of Kuala Lumpur, recognized world over. These towers soar 88 floors above the city. There is a sky bridge at the 41st and 42nd floors providing a viewpoint 175 meters above the city. A visit to Kuala Lumpur is just not complete without a visit to this landmark.

Menara KL Tower

This structure is counted as among the world’s top 10 tallest structures. It is located atop Bukat Nanas forest reserve. It rises 421 meters above Kuala Lumpur providing a vantage view over the city and its environs. Its viewing deck is at 275 meters. Tickets are free for early visitors.

Sunway Lagoon theme park

This is Malaysia at its tech best. The theme park has a manmade river, wave pool, surf and even a pirate ship that revolves. The water slides whirl and twirl to add to the fun. The theme park has 5 different fun zones; amusement park, Water Park, scream park, Extreme Park and Wildlife Park.

Jalan Alor

Some consider this the center of the city’s cuisine life. This is a strip of restaurants offering seafood and other delicacies. During the peak hours, tables and chairs spill onto the street as numerous locals and tourists jostle for a bite. There are seafood delicacies, barbecues, noodle dishes and countless dessert combinations.


This underwater walkway is located at the KL convention center’s concourse level.  The water above is home to over 150 species of marine life including coral and kelp.
